CHIEF OF POLICE: Athens Township, Bradford Co, PA is accepting applications/resumes for a full time Chief of Police to oversee an 11 full-time/1 part-time Officer Police Department and 3 ‘School Resource’ Officers. Requirements are: Act 120 Certification, special training in Law Enforcement activities/procedures, valid drivers’ license, administrative/organizational/supervisory skills, public relations skills, communication skills, firearms and protective skills, thorough knowledge of department and related agencies – courts, FBI, State Police, etc. Previous experience to include minimum of 10 years in law enforcement with 5 of those years in administration (preferred), progressively responsible experience in enforcement, supervision and administration. Forty (40) hrs./week, fully paid benefits including retirement plan option; salary to commensurate with experience.
